V-ribbed belts
We stock V-ribbed belts (also known as ribbed belts, Poly®V-belts, Micro®V-belts or Multirib® belts) in neoprene or polyurethane. V-ribbed belts non-positively transmit torques. The relatively small profile height reduces the bending resistance, so that high transmission ratios can be realised.

The following profiles are normally used in industry or in general engineering applications: J, K and L profiles. In the automotive industry or the motor vehicle sector, the K profile is used.
V-ribbed belts consist of a fabric lining made of polyamide, low-stretch tension members made of polyester, an embedding compound and wedge-shaped, parallel ridges made of polychloroprene. These different components are vulcanised into one unit. The relatively small profile height reduces the bending resistance, so that high transmission ratios can be realised. High levels of efficiency can be achieved in the smallest of spaces, even when using serpentine drives or reverse idlers. This is a big advantage in the motor vehicle sector and ribbed belts are widely used.
V-ribbed belts are drive belts used in mechanical drive systems with the same high performance as V-belts, but which have the flexibility of flat belts. They are used at high belt speeds, for high transmission ratios, with reverse idlers or with small pulley diameters.
Our V-ribbed belts are manufactured to DIN 7867. They are extremely flexible, very bendable at high bending frequencies, have a long service life when used correctly, are oil-resistant under certain conditions, temperature-resistant from - 30 °C to + 80 °C, electrically conductive to ISO 1813 and can even withstand tropical weather conditions. The force is uniformly distributed over the entire belt width.

We mainly stock the entire sleeve, but in K profile mostly only the pre-cut belts.
