V-belt is a collective term for trapezoidal drive belts that non-positively transmit torques in mechanical drive systems. They can be encased or raw edged. High-quality materials, careful production processes and the correct choice of product ensure maximum operational reliability. The profile, length, and material of the V-belt and the construction and material of the tension members will vary, depending on the application and specific requirements.

Our black reverse idler belts have been designed specifically for use with reverse idlers and do not provide controlled slip. Our grey coupling belts, on the other hand, have been designed for controlled slip and silent coupling engagement.

Power belts or composite V-belts are drive belts that are used for high impact and non-uniform loads. They ensure safe transmission of high torques and power even at large centre distances. Power belts consist of individual belt strands or ribs that are interconnected by a cover plate. They are designed so that the back of the belt does not rest on the outside diameter of the pulley, to prevent the cover plate separating from the ribs.

V-belt pulleys, also known as grooved pulleys, are machine elements and are an important component of the V-belt drive. In addition to the standard or taper V-belt pulleys, we also sell aluminium cone pulleys, variator and fixed pulleys for wide V-belts and adjustable V-belt pulleys (variable speed pulleys).

We can supply high quality roller and spherical plain bearings from leading manufacturers (NTN, SNR, SKF, FAG, NKE, TIMKEN, DURBAL and others). On request we can also supply more economical bearings from less well-known manufacturers.

Modern timing belts consist of a tension member, teeth, a back and a protective fabric. They are characterised by their tooth shape, profile, pitch, the materials used and the construction and material of the tension members. We stock a wide range of the most commercially available timing belts from rubber or polyurethane, manufactured endless or by the meter. In our own workshop we can weld the polyurethane meter material to the desired length. Ex stock you also receive aluminium clamping plates.

Timing belt pulleys are precision components manufactured using milling tools for accurate pitch. This ensures that the teeth engage precisely and the pitch of the belt and pulley match exactly. The performance of a timing belt drive is strongly influenced by the quality of the associated pulley. We supply timing belt pulleys ex stock either pre-bored or with the taper clamping bush system. 

Timing bars are toothed cylinders – a type of blank and, depending on the profile, made of steel or aluminium – used to produce customised timing belt pulleys. Please order flanged pulleys separately.

We stock V-ribbed belts (also known as ribbed belts, Poly®V-belts, Micro®V-belts or Multirib® belts) in neoprene or polyurethane. V-ribbed belts non-positively transmit torques. The relatively small profile height reduces the bending resistance, so that high transmission ratios can be realised.

V-ribbed belt pulleys are mechanical drive components. They are also known as poly-V-pulleys or ribbed pulleys. V-ribbed belt drives are used for high transmission ratios, with small pulley diameters, reverse idlers and at high belt speeds.

Chains and sprockets are positive-locked drive elements, usually made of steel. They transmit high torques without slip and have a very long service life when correctly handled and maintained. We supply the most popular sprockets, chains, sprocket sets, chain tensioners and gliders as well as straight and cranked links from our warehouse.

Couplings are machine elements that transmit torques and rotational speeds between two shafts. The connection between these shafts can be rigid, separable or elastic. From stock we sell elastic couplings, matching spacers, bolts, buffers, sleeves and clamping bushes Taper system. On request, we can also mechanically rework the couplings in-house.

Taper system clamping bushes, bold-on hubs, weld-on hubs and intermediate sleeves are machine elements that establish a replaceable clamping connection between shaft and hub (such as V-belt pulleys, toothed belt pulleys, chain wheels, couplings etc.). Our taper system clamping bushes are always supplied with a keyway.

Our clamping sets or clamping elements of the type DL are standardised machine elements that establish a non-positive and backlash-free connection between the shaft and hub in mechanical drive systems. Torques and axial forces are frictionally engaged. Our clamping sets are similar in design to the models of Ringspann®, KTR, Bonfix® and Bikon®. All dimensions can be found in our main catalog.

Motor clamping slides and rails are an ideal mounting base for any motor. They enable easy, correct pre-tensioning of your belt drive.

Tension rollers, sprocket sets, chain slides and belt tensioning pulleys can be used to adjust the preload force in rotary drives with fixed shafts. They do not transmit power, but can improve performance.

Flat belt pulleys are machine elements and an important component of flat belt drives. The power is non-positively transmitted by means of friction. The construction of the drive has to be very stable in order to ensure correct, permanent alignment of the pulleys. They are manufactured as arm-type pulleys, floor pulleys or solid pulleys. All our flat belt pulleys have a crown, the so-called swelling. This prevents the flat belt from slipping off sideways.

For the correct installation of belts and the maintenance of belt drives, we offer you either the VSM-1 tension gauge based on an optoelectronic measurement process for the frequency of V-belts and timing belts or the Optikrik tension gauge. The Krikit tension gauge is intended for measuring V-ribbed belts. We also offer the Conti® Laser Aligner for checking the alignment of belt pulleys.
